  10. The frame buffer device provides an abstraction for the graphics
  11. hardware. It represents the frame buffer of some video hardware and
  12. allows application software to access the graphics hardware through

  21. The device is accessed through special device nodes, usually located

  23. You need an utility program called fbset to make full use of frame
  24. buffer devices. Please read <file:Documentation/fb/framebuffer.rst>

  28. This enables support for native frame buffer device (fbdev) drivers.
  29. The DRM subsystem provides support for emulated frame buffer devices
  30. on top of KMS drivers, but this option allows legacy fbdev drivers to
  31. be enabled as well.
